My Story

As a backpacker from Japan, my exploration of Australia unfolded a deep connection with its expansive landscapes and diverse wildlife, fostered through meaningful experiences in conservation volunteering. This profound enchantment acted as the catalyst for my relocation, where the graceful movements of Australian wildlife persist as an enduring inspiration for my artistic expressions. Each piece I craft reflects my admiration and reverence for the unique beauty of Australian wildlife, capturing the essence of the natural world with every meticulous cut.

“Capturing the myriad expressions of wildlife, each piece invites you to perceive the unspoken messages.”

What is washi?

Washi is a traditional Japanese hand-made paper celebrated for its strength, unique texture, and versatility. It is crafted from the fibers of the paper mulberry plant and is not only employed for letter writing and bookmaking but also finds applications in home interiors, creating items such as paper screens, room dividers, and sliding doors, as well as various arts and crafts.

Washi plays a pivotal role in my creations, elevating both the visual and tactile experience.
